Although we hate to see summer come and go, we are looking forward to a full fall schedule. Coming up this month and next, we have art classes and workshops for the entire family to enjoy. As you probably know, all of our adult classes have turned into workshops, lasting anywhere from one day to one month. We think this will give us a great opportunity to share more classes with the public without putting so much stress on our teachers. In October we have Intro to Oil Paint, Sculpting the Anatomy, Drawing the Human Figure, Book Binding, Jewelry, and Pottery.

Office Hours
Because we are working on projects, such as the Geneva Steel Exhibition, grants, and mending the shed at Taylor Station, we will not be keeping regular office hours for the next few months. However, we are never far, and are always available by telephone. For questions, or to enroll in a class, please call 801-492-1501. Need Art?

What’s New in the Classroom:
Come and Find Out!
For the Children’s and Youth Classes we have created year long curriculums to help the students advance in visual art concepts that will be with them a lifetime. This curriculum is a serious and discipline-based visual arts education for youth. The program is designed to create leveled classes. Upon successful completion of one full year (level) of class, students will receive a certificate of completion. This month we are offering Drawing for children, Art Discovery (4-6 yrs), Art I (6-10 yrs) Please check out the schedule to view upcoming classes and workshops.

We recently received a grant in the amount of $14,630.00 from the Utah Office of Museum Services which will support the upcoming Geneva Steel Exhibition in March of 2008.  We would like to thank them for this generous donation.  Also, a special thanks to Kristina Narvez and Susie Record for helping to prepare additional grant proposals for this and other projects.
